    Hello Phoenix Knights supporters,

    The Phoenix Knights continue their quest and appreciate your support of game-based youth programming! Onward!

    **UPDATE: No Programs Tuesday or Thursday this coming week!**

    1. The Schedule:

    Monday 3/31: First Baptist Church (95 High St, Belfast)

    Ages 7 – 11yrs  2:30pm-5:30pm **please note the earlier end time on Monday**

    Friday 4/4/25: UU Church (367 Miller St, Belfast)Ages 12 – 18yrs 2:30pm-6pm

    **NO Programming This Week on Tuesday or Thursday**

    — The UU Church is no longer available for us on Tuesdays and Thursdays, due to an increase in church programming as Spring begins.

    — We are hoping to hold programming at the First Church – they are very excited to support PKG! – but we need liability insurance before they can host us.

    — We hope to start up Tuesday/Thursday programming again by the week of April 7th.

    **Please note NO programming on Wednesday moving forward.**

    2. Volunteers

    We’re looking for Volunteers:

    Tuesdays from 3-5pm

    and

    Fridays from 3-5pm

    as well as “on call” volunteers who can show up in case weather, sickness or other issues prevent our regular staff and volunteers from supporting programming.

    During Programs: We continue to need support preparing simple lunches and snacks for the kids as well as welcoming families and supporting programming.

    Please respond with your availability and we’ll schedule you in!

    We are also looking for volunteers to join Committees and help with:

    Legal Advice (especially non-profit guidance and insurance)

    Finance and Fundraising

    Cooking and Food Preparation

    Please reach out if you’re interested in joining a Committee!

    3. Location

    We are still searching for a more permanent home!

    **If you have any connections to spaces in and around Belfast that would be able to host Phoenix Knights, please reach out to us!**

    4. Food

    If you are able to support our food needs we would appreciate:

    Bread, lunch meat, cheese, low-sugar jelly, healthy snacks, fruit and vegetable snacks (carrots, celery, mandarins, apples, etc; we do not need any more donations of peanut butter)

    Please bring any food items when programs are running!

    3. The Survey

    If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, please consider doing so soon! Your input is crucial to the success of the Phoenix Knights. Please CLICK HERE to take the survey.

    4. Facebook Page 

    We’ve made a Facebook page to keep you abreast of last minute changes! Check it out here: Phoenix Knights Facebook Page. We will still send emails regarding substantive changes or notifications, but for the day to day please check Facebook! 

    We are staying focused on the fundamental services that the Game Loft provided:

    – Positive relationships with mentors and peers

    – Youth development through non-electronic games

    – A safe and supportive place to play and grow

    We are grateful for your input, your passion, and your support of the youth of Waldo County!

  • Closed Today For Weather

    March 24, 2025

    With the impending weather, and school releasing early, we will not be meeting today. Depending on the amount of snowfall, the Snow Shovel Brigade may assemble either today or tomorrow. If you or your child is interested in joining the Shovel Brigade, please send an email to phoenixknightsgaming@gmail.com for more information.

    Hello Phoenix Knights supporters,

    Just one week after the Game Loft closed its doors, the Phoenix Knights truly rose from the ashes and continued game-based youth development programs in Belfast! We’ve now had two full weeks of programming, and wanted to reach out to share several developments:

    1. The Schedule:

    Monday, First Baptist Church (95 High St, Belfast)

    Ages 7 – 11yrs  2:30pm-5:30pm

    Tuesday – Friday, UU Church (37 Miller St, Belfast)

    Ages 12 – 18yrs 

    Upstairs in the Sanctuary 2:30pm-4pm then move downstairs 4pm-6pm

    2. Volunteers/Food

    We could use your support preparing simple lunches and snacks for the kids as well as welcoming families and supporting programming. Please respond with your availability and we’ll schedule you in! 

    If you are able to support our food needs we would appreciate:

    Bread, lunch meat, cheese, pasta and sauce, jelly, healthy snacks, fruit and vegetable snacks (carrots, celery, mandarins, apples, etc,)

    Please bring any food items when programs are running!
